Shooting for Dennery Marks PR

I did a shoot last Sunday for Liz Dennery-Saunders. Here are a couple of photos from our shoot.

Shooting with Elspeth Keller

I know it's been a while since I've posted on this site, but I've been busy none the less. I just had a great photoshoot with a wonderful model named Elspeth Keller, she doesn't consider herself a model, but as the photos can attest, she would do quite well if she put half of her mind to it. She's a talented L.A. actress and a breath of fresh air. Down to earth, and excited to try shots that might not work out, I find myself wishing every model was like Elspeth. I can't wait to shoot with her next time I'm in L.A.!

Cocos Island Update

Hello Everyone, I know the Cocos Island Seamount Project is coming together slowly, but it is coming together. I have news, so I thought I'd update those who are interested in the project.

I'm in Costa Rica right now, and I met with the biologist that is going out to Cocos Island with me who is a Costa Rican himself. We have made some exciting plans to actually capture and tag hammerheads with tracking units which will be more reliable than the kind placed on the sharks from underwater with a spear. We will also be taking the French Ambassador to Costa Rica who is involved with the French Fund for the environment, and will be giving them a first hand experience of the issues that are taking place on Cocos Island, the tagging of the sharks, and the submarine exploration of the seamount. Once we get to the Island, my role will be just to get the photographs that will help tell the story, but I'm working hard to get everything set up before we go again in March.

In Other related news, a Tiger Shark and Silky Shark Rookery have been discovered about 40 miles off of Costa Rica near Gulfito, a major fishing port, I plan on working with Randal and his Non-Profit organization PRETOMA to protect these areas in the coming months.

Potrero Chico Mexico

I just spent two weeks shooting rock climbing in Potrero Chico Mexico with my friend Sean. The photos came out beautifully and I'm excited to get them sent out to clients to get a reaction. To read more about the trip go to my blog.

Catalyst Clothing Shoot

I've done 3 shoots this week for an upcoming online clothing store that wants a little bit more lifestyle in it's photography instead of just showing bland pictures of the clothes they offer.

The Flatirons

The Flatirons were famous test pieces back in the early days of climbing. With hundreds of feet of rock within a half hours hike from Boulder, Colorado they were a place to make your name if you were going to be a name at all. Now, with better rubber on our shoes, comfortable harnesses, and reliable equipment, they have become the territory of moderate climbers aiming to get used to multi pitch climbing. Today I went up in a little 2 man helicopter to get some photos of climbers on the famous rocks, before winter sets in and climbing the flatirons becomes more torture than fun. Here's my favorite shot from today, the mountain in the background is the famous 14er, Longs Peak.
