Testing out the New Camera

Every once in a while you just have to get out and wander around with a camera. No better excuse than to try out a new camera! I just got the 50D and decided I would put it's reputation of being a great low light camera to the test. I rarely used an ISO less than 3600. Although i don't think i got much worth posting, here is one of my test shots from my midnight walk around Denver.

The Wine Loft - Advertisment

So here is one of the promised photos from my advertising shoot that took place at The Wine Loft, a swanky bar here in Denver. It's sort of a new angle for me, but I think it turned out pretty well for what it is! It helped to have two gorgeous and experienced ladies to flank the guy in the photo.

Advertising for the Wine Loft

One of my favorite types of photography is advertising photography though I usually work in Outdoor lifestyle. A new wine bar in Denver called The Wine Loft has given me an opportunity to do a shoot for them, and I'm looking forward to showing my abilities to use creative lighting, and my fashion photography to put together a new ad campaign for them. I'll post photos as soon as I have them!

Alpinist Party

I try to stick to shooting a few of my favorite genre's of photography, but I've been offered a job shooting a party and premier for Alpinist tomorrow night the 8th of October. I can't wait, I assume it's going to be an absolute blast and believe it or not I think shooting events is a great way to sharpen ones skills with photography. Learning to balance exposures against the flash and the ambient lights which can be a real hassle is often learned in a event photography setting.

Photography in the Crestones

Only two and a half hours drive from my photography studio in Denver, are the Sangro de Christo range of mountains. When I showed people the photos most people assumed these peaks couldn't possibly be in United States, much less Colorado. Here are a few pictures from my solo hike in. I was there to do an outdoor lifestyle and adventure photoshoot for clients, but found working difficult while my eyes darted up and down potential climbs.
